DESCRIPTION:
English, Single Fusee skeleton clock with anchor escapement & single passing strike at the hour, the frame resting on 8 cast round feet mounted to a gray marble base, with a 2" plexi-glass spacer added to allow the old glass dome to clear the clock and hammer when striking.
CONDITION:
overall clean and sound, original chain intact, clock runs briskly and strikes on a bell. Dome has some fly specs; otherwise very good. The silvered dial is cut and fretted and with engraved trim band along the edges; numerals are painted on. Ht of dome = 17.5", overall = 21"
